Rising 9th Grade Parent Information Night
In an effort to inform you about your student’s high school experience, you are cordially invited to attend a parent information meeting on Thursday, January 25, 2018, 6:00 PM at Collins Hill High School in the Theater.
Instructional Coordinators (ICs)will speak with you regarding their particular area—Math, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and the differences between College Prep, Honors-Accelerated, Gifted and Advanced Placement Courses (AP).  Work expectations, graduation requirements, and placement issues will be discussed for your soon to be 9th grade student.  The timeline/process for course registration will also be shared. Additionally you will also have an opportunity to hear from/talk with ICs and teachers from elective areas (PE, Technology Education, Fine Arts, and Foreign Language).
Separate breakout meetings for Gifted/Accelerated (in Theater), Special Education (in Media Center) and Spanish speaking parents (in Chorus Room) will be held at 7:30.
***Due to space restrictions, this meeting is for parents only--students will be given this same information closer to registration time.***
